After 31st Oct 2023, the Call2Teams Phone App will no longer be supported, so to ensure continuity of service we recommend you switch to the newer Call2Teams Go.
Call2Teams Go supersedes Phone App for delivering native calling without the need to add additional user licenses. Utilizing Direct Routing architecture, Call2Teams Go offers the same great value as Phone App but with a better user experience.
Migrating to Call2Teams Go is easy
Completed in just a few clicks within the Call2Teams portal, once you've checked for a free resource license on your tenant, it is as simple as Authorize, Upgrade and Sync. It really is that simple to deliver a better UX for the same price.
How to migrate to Call2Teams Go:
Please note: This process is irreversible. Please ensure you meet the requirements and have familiarized yourself with the migration steps described here before proceeding.
Requirements:
Ensure that you have a free resource license in place on your tenant before doing the upgrade.
See this link for more information: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoftteams/teams-add-on-licensing/virtual-user.
The Sync process will look for a license of this type and try to assign it to the Auto Receptionist bot if it finds one available.
Within the Microsoft Tenant, customers must have at least a single Paid phone service to obtain and maintain a resource account license:
- At least a single E5 or Teams Phone Standard add-on giving the ability to have at least 25 Teams Resource account licenses purchased.
More detail on Phone Resource Account licensing can be found here: Microsoft Teams Phone Resource Account licenses - Microsoft Teams.
Permissions:
- Users must grant the Auto Receptionist bot permissions to access and modify the customer's account, as described in the steps below.
- The user performing the installation must have admin permissions for the customer's tenant.
- The user performing the installation must have admin and account modification permissions for the customer's account.
Browser:
